Stay connected with Google Groups and an online reunion!

While it isn't always convenient to check 22 blogs for new posts, you can stay connected with your AGU in America classmates, mentors, and teachers through our Google Group. Sign up for the group at http://groups.google.com/group/agu2006.

Also, mark your calendars for our first AGU in America Online Text Chat Reunion, which will be held at Tapped In (http://tappedin.org/) on Thursday, September 14, at 1 pm GMT (I think that's 10:00 pm Tokyo time). See you there!

Do you remember when I posted a picture of Black-eyed Susans, the Maryland state flower? Here's a picture I took of the Black-eyed Susans in my own front yard:

  • Hi!Nina!The picture is beautiful!

Though I signed up for Google Group,I can't see the mail from Google. The reason is that I am in my hometown (Kumamoto) now and I don't have my PC at hand. I left my PC in Kanagawa. So I cannot check my inbox. I think I can't connect with you until September 21 when I will go back home in Kanagawa.

  • Eriko,
At 10 pm your time on Sept. 14, go to http://tappedin.org and sign in as a guest. Then do a search for NinaTL_ofc under Places, and go to my office. That is where we will meet for our reunion chat! Hope to see you there.

  • Hi Nina!
Thanks for reading my blog, and leaving comments!

Well you have the Black-eyed Susans in your own yard? That's really nice!

I'm excited to talk to you on Sep 14!

  • To my dear Nina, or should I say 'great mother of America',

Your blog with your students is wonderful and I'm really impressed with the English of all your bloggers.

I didn't know the flowers were called Black-eyed Susans but the name and this blog made me think of Black-Eyed Peas and their remake of "Power to the People". You can listen to the stream here http://www.mp3.com/black-eyed-peas/artists/271760/summary.html
I love the sleeping learners on the boat trip too!

  • Dear Nina,
You have made such great use of Blogger that I bet your courses have never been the same since february 2006. Congratulations on a great implementation of IT resources. Your students are really lucky to have you as their teacher. CariƱos from your color twin.

  • The google group has pretty much disbanded, but we now have a yahoo group at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/agu/ and a Facebook Group as well, so if you are on Facebook join AGU in America!
